Uns wurde ein ganz toller Film zugeschickt, der es im Bereich gendergerechte Sprache einfach mal auf den Punkt bringt.

Die Macherinnen und Macher dazu selber:

Während manch eine*r von uns erst im Erwachsenenalter begreift, dass die deutsche Sprache Frauen unsichtbar macht, sind viele 13-jährige heute schon viel weiter. „Frau F. schafft es ja auch, immer „alle Schülerinnen und Schüler“ zu sagen – wieso kriegt Herr K. das dann nicht hin, bitte?“, ärgert sich Lena. „Ich gehe nicht zum Arzt, sondern zu meiner Ärztin. Das kann doch nicht so schwer sein. Ja, unfassbar, es gibt Ärzt*innen! Bringt jetzt alles durcheinander, oder wie?“ poltert Leonie. Und Frieda fragt trocken: „Wie heißt eigentlich die Schulsekretärin in männlicher Form? Und wieso gibt es die nicht?“
Wie bitte, ihr wollt ein Video zum Thema Gendersprache?“ dachte das gesamte Pinkstinks-Team, als wir die „Not Heidis Girl“-Gruppe zu ihren Wünschen zum Weltmädchentag befragten. Dass sie ein neues Musikvideo haben wollten, stand fest. Dass die Kids das Thema „generisches Maskulinum“ darin sehen wollten, hätten wir nie erahnen können. Dieses für die meisten Deutschen so anstrengende, sperrige Thema als Hip-Hop-Video: Wie sollte das gehen?

Unser Mitarbeiter Marcel Wicker sah das entspannt: Er hatte schon den Song „Not Heidis Girl“ geschrieben, Gendersprache als Rap war eine spannende Herausforderung für ihn. Mit Unterstützung unserer Theaterpädagogin und Musikerin Jamie Watson entstand schnell ein Song, der die Mädchen begeisterte. Sie selbst lieferten Bilder und Szenen und brachten Beispiele aus ihrem Schulalltag ein, die sie täglich auf die Palme brachten.

Den Mädels war es wichtig zu sagen, dass es für sie keine perfekte Lösung oder Alternative zum generischen Maskulinum gibt. Das Gendersternchen kennen zwar viele und scheint perfekt für den generellen Plural, aber wie das dann gesprochen werden soll bei „Wir suchen ein*n neue*n Schulsprecher*in“ ist weder uns noch den Kids klar. Dazu brauchen wir aber Lösungen, darin sind wir uns einig! Dazu braucht es Forschung und zunächst Sensibilisierung von Menschen, dass das generische Maskulinum ausgrenzt, damit wir uns gemeinsam als Gesellschaft auf neue Formen einigen können. Denn wenn der Sprachgebrauch sich ändert – wie jetzt schon in vielen studentischen, aktivistischen oder jüngeren Szenen – reagiert auch die Politik.
